I think one of the biggest honors I have as a photographer is the chance I have to see tiny newborn babies grow, and fast I might add……into beautiful children. When Rebekah’s precious mama called me to remind me that she was about to be 3 months old, I honestly couldn’t believe time had gone by so fast. Her smile is contagious, her eyes sparkle and you just gotta squeeze those little chubby legs. I know it will be no time at all before I’m getting the call that 6 months has rolled around!

Oh…..and just so you know, we had proper supervision

Meet little Micah, his sweet parents were the winner of the grand prize package at the Columbus Ga Safe Kids Baby Expo last year…..So when he decided to come along I was so blessed to be able to spend the afternoon with him…….all afternoon! He decided he wanted to know exactly what was going on and didn’t think he needed to sleep! So we had some cuddle time (my favorite part) and when he finally did decide to take a little snooze we had some fun!

I have been hinting at new things to come……after being in business for 4 years it seems my original vision has been a bit derailed. It’s no ones fault, and I think things just tend evolve as time goes by. I miss the purity and honesty that I originally wanted to be known for in photography…….I’ve always said “everyone has a story” and I’ve longed to capture who people are in a natural and mostly un-posed way. I want to tell their story. When they look at their images I want them to see personalities and relationships shinning through…I want them to have big smiles and happy tears…….and I’m ready to refocus and head back that direction…..what does that mean for all of you?

A website and blog re-vamp!! So excited to freshen things up a bit!
I will be shooting all of my sessions in FILM……yes you can still buy film and we will talk more about that later!
All Sessions will now come with 50 images on disk with print release and a set of 5×7 proof prints in a beautiful custom made silk box by Michael Chinn. Nice and simple but gorgeous! (more on this to come soon)
Every session will have more of a lifestyle feel……..I am working on a very exciting project that will give you a fabulous insight on what you can expect.

A little bonus…….Since I’ll be rebuilding my portfolio and needing new images for my website, I’ll be doing a casting call. These limited time sessions will include everything that a regular session would but for a dramatically discounted price. I’ll be sending out a newsletter very soon with the details, you can also contact me if you are interested.

Now a little preview……this is a session I did with my own children for the new year. These images are shot entirely on film. A few posed shots and a lot of play! I have to be honest, every time I look at these images I get tears in my eyes……these are my babies and I see their personalities shinning through! And……..that is exactly what I want you to experience!

Adorable squishy cheeks and big blue eyes! Little miss Megan was just sweet as she could be! She was curious about what we were up to but was perfectly content to comply with our every whim.

I was so honored and blessed to be able to meet this precious family who I now count as friends. I appreciate more than words can express all of our military personnel and their families for the gift of freedom they sacrifice to protect. I also want to thank all the wonderful people at The Rivermill Event Center in Columbus, GA for graciously allowing us to use their location on a very hot day! I was also blessed to be able to capture this newborn beauty when she arrived…..but thought I’d share her beautiful mama’s maternity session with all of you first!

I had the pleasure of spending a little time at gorgeous Live Oak Plantation in Adel, Ga and the honor of being able to capture a few of the cutest members of the family. This has to have been one of my favorite sessions ever! I think you’ll see why! Not only is the location to die for, but these cuties and I had so much fun! And then when grandma ran home for the overalls and tractor…..well…….this girl was in heaven!
